As an iconic brand in the off-road vehicle sector, Jeep has consistently focused on technological innovation to enhance driving experiences and outdoor adventures. In March 2025, Jeep filed two new patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), further expanding its product advantages in the off-road segment and offering more options for off-road enthusiasts.
Integrated Rooftop Tent for an Enhanced Camping Experience
Jeep’s first patent is an innovative tent that can be directly installed on the roof of the Wrangler without the need for additional roof racks. This integrated camping solution features a compact design that remains unobtrusive when folded, ensuring minimal impact on vehicle height and fuel efficiency.
The tent's structural design balances practicality and comfort. Campers can access the tent directly from inside the vehicle without the need for extra setup, making camping more convenient. Once fully deployed, the tent can also be equipped with an optional awning for additional shade. Additionally, its flooring can extend beyond the vehicle’s edge, effectively increasing usable space and enhancing outdoor living comfort.
Jeep-Specific Off-Road Trailer for Improved Stability and Compatibility
The second patent is an off-road trailer specifically designed for Jeep models, including the Gladiator pickup. This trailer adopts the same suspension system as the towing vehicle and utilizes Jeep’s axles, tires, and body components to ensure stability and compatibility between the vehicle and the trailer.
This design allows the trailer to easily adapt to various rugged terrains while perfectly complementing Jeep’s off-road capabilities. Moreover, the trailer is not limited to Jeep models but is also compatible with other vehicle brands, providing a powerful off-road support tool for a wider range of drivers.

With these two patents, Jeep once again demonstrates its innovative strength in the off-road sector. These groundbreaking designs offer more choices for outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Moving forward, Jeep is expected to continue driving technological advancements, enabling more people to explore the ultimate outdoor experience.
